Question: The plans below show a small park in 1980 and the park now.
ANSWER:
The maps illustrate the changes in the layout of a park from 1980 to the present.
Overall, the park has shifted from being an enclosed space to an entirely open one, with several scenic spots repurposed into recreational zones.
Back in 1980, the park was surrounded by walls and featured two entrances, one on the southern side and another on the western side. A winding path stretched from the western gate to the southern one, curving northeast and dividing the park into two distinct areas. On the eastern side, trees occupied its northern part, while a flower garden adorned the south. The western half included a pond encircled by benches, with an additional flower patch located to its south.
Today, the walls have been completely demolished, transforming the park into a fully accessible space. The original path now extends further north and east, while the tree-lined northern area has been enhanced with picnic tables for barbecues. In the southwest, the former flower patch has given way to bushes, whereas the southeastern flower garden has been cleared to make room for a sports area.
