Question: The map below show a bookstore in 2000 and now.
ANSWER:
The given floor plans illustrate the layout of a bookshop in 2000 and its current format.
Overall, the bookstore has shifted towards a more customer-friendly space with the addition of a cafe and seating areas, along with the rearrangement of different sections.
In 2000, visitors were greeted upon entering from the bottom by a travel shelf, a table for new arrivals, and a service desk from left to right. The top of this section, which was the middle of the bookstore, held other genres including cookery, hobbies, and art. Furthermore, an L-shaped shelf for fiction was positioned along the top and left wall of the room, while a non-fiction section was located at the right, above the service desk.
The current layout exhibits considerable changes. Most notably, a café has been introduced in the area of the non-fiction section, which has been moved to the top wall, replacing this part of fiction. Moreover, the fiction section on the left has been reduced in size to house cookery, hobbies, and art, whereas the previous area containing those is now for seating with tables and chairs. Finally, the welcoming array has remained intact just inside the original entrance.
