The pictures depict the alterations of the ground level of a specific building from 1958 to the present day. Overall, the place has been repurposed twice, from an office to residential accommodation and later to a florist. Additionally, the rooms were also rearranged to accommodate the objective of each transformation.
The first reformation converted the office which had operated from 1958 to 1984, to an apartment, which was first occupied the following year. The conference room and the assistant’s office in the top left area was removed to build a spacious living room. Similarly, a bathroom with a shower was constructed beneath the new living room at the expense of the secretary’s office and the toilet, with a small gap between the two new rooms. The manager’s office and the reception area in the bottom right corner were transformed to two adjacent bedrooms, whereas the kitchen in the top right and the entrance in the centre of the lower wall remained intact.
The second repurposing occurred between 2000 and 2001, transforming the flat into a florist which has functioned until present. The living room and the bathroom’s size were reduced and converted into a gift card section and a playing area, respectively, and flowers have been displayed in the space between these rooms. While the bedroom in the center right was turned into an office, the second bedroom below it was eliminated for an additional flower showcase. Finally, the kitchen and entryway experienced no changes.

Question: Many people no longer read newspapers or watch TV news programmes. Instead they get news about the world from the Internet.
Is this a negative or positive development?
ANSWER:
The internet has paved new ways for accessing information regarding worldwide events, which is how many people nowadays choose to be updated with news instead of via traditional newspapers or television. From my perspective, this is an overall positive development to society.
The foremost benefit is that the internet offers an interactive platform for information exchange. Internet users can interact with the news they are acquiring, for instance, comment on articles and even engage in debates with those with other stands. This provides people a diverse range of perspectives and helps maintain a well-informed and critical citizenry.
Another positive influence is that news acquisition from internet-based platforms is often faster. This is because online news confers the ability of real-time coverage which allows followers to remain current with the most updated events as they happen. For example, this immediacy is often extremely valuable during the reporting of natural disasters, such as the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria, when timely information is critical to public safety.
However, one pronounced concern is the proliferation of fake news and misinformation on the internet. The rise of social media and other online platforms has facilitated the dissemination of fake news, as the vast majority of information circulating on the internet is not verified by the authorities. Given the sheer number of news outlets available, it can be challenging for individuals to distinguish fact from fiction, leading to several news subscribers being misinformed on important matters.
In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that despite the possibility of misinformation for viewers, obtaining news from the internet rather than from newspapers and television is an overall beneficial development because it encourages critical thinking as well as facilitates faster information for citizens.
