The chart and graph below give the information about three categories of workers in Australia and unemployment levels within those categories.
The pie chart illustrates the composition of the labor force in Australia in 2003, while the line graph depicts the rate of unemployment by birthplace in this country from 1993 to 2003. Overall, Australian-born workers contributed the highest share. Additionally, the unemployment rate for all cohorts decreased over the given period, with that of non-English-speaking laborers being consistently the highest.
Regarding the pie chart, slightly over three-fourths of the labor force in Australia was locally born citizens, which accounted for the largest share. Furthermore, workers who were originally from non-English-speaking nations made up 14%, whilst the remaining 10% of the workforce native English speakers from other countries.
Concerning the line graph, the unemployment rate of individuals born in non-English-speaking nations began the highest at approximately 7% then plunged to a low of about 3% in 2000, before remaining fairly stable until 2003. As for Australian-born citizens, nearly 4% of those were unemployed initially; after the figure dropped suddenly to roughly 2.5% around 1994, it declined marginally to slightly under 2% by 2000. Turning to the non-native English speakers, roughly 3.5% were jobless in 1993 which about halved by 2000. Despite a minimal recovery to roughly 2% in the following year, it finished at around 1%.(207 words)

Question: Today more people put their private information (address, telephone and plastic card numbers) online to do their daily activities (banking, shopping, socializing). Is it a positive or negative development?
ANSWER:
The prevalence of adding personal information online has become a cornerstone of modern life, as individuals increasingly perform a myriad of daily activities such as banking, shopping, and socializing through digital platforms. This essay argues that this phenomenon inflicts an overall detrimental effect on society.
Admittedly, the convenience afforded by the digitalization of personal transactions must be acknowledged. Indeed, the ability to manage one’s finances, procure goods and services, and maintain social connections at the click of a button has revolutionized the way people live, since it has eliminated the need for physical travel, saving time and resources, and has empowered consumers with immediate access to a global marketplace.
However, the most pressing concern from the shift towards online data storing is the heightened risk of cybercrime. Specifically, as personal data proliferates on the internet, it becomes a lucrative target for cybercriminals, leading to an increase in criminal endeavors such as identity theft or financial fraud. The implications of such crimes are profound, often resulting in substantial financial loss and long-term damage to individuals’ creditworthiness and reputation.
Another notable issue is the potential exposure of private information for targeted advertising. While seemingly innocuous, this can lead to an overwhelming influx of personalized advertisements. For instance, home owners may receive dozens of unwanted calls per day regarding their real estate. This facet of digital data storage infringes on personal privacy and has the potential to induce distress or frustration among individuals, thereby impacting their mental health.
In conclusion, although the online storage of personal information provides convenience for people in performing their daily activities, it has exposed users to more significant drawbacks, including cybercrime and aggressive targeted advertising. It is imperative for individuals to navigate this digital terrain with caution, utilizing robust security measures and being discerning about the information they store online. (302 words)
