Question: The table shows the number of people from five European nations living in each other’s countries in 2011.
ANSWER:
The table illustrates the count of citizens from five European countries residing in the territories of other nations in the year 2011. Overall, the highest number of individuals relocating to an oversea country from the list was from Poland, while Germany received more migrants than other nations.
Regarding the top three favourite destinations, Germany ranked first, at 1,198,000 people, in which Italian expatriates was the most dominant group, with just over 550,000. The second most popular choice was Britain, at 1,037,000, with the largest cohort being the Poles, contributing 550,000. Meanwhile, Spain welcomed about 200,000 fewer overseas residents than Britain, which was mostly contributed by British people, at 391,000.
Concerning the other selections, 106,000 Polish people decided to reside in Italy, whereas other national profiles constituted 90,000, totalling 196,000 expats. Finally, Poland was the least preferred place to settle, which only attracted 6,000; however, there were nearly 1,200,000 Polish expats compared to the lowest result of slightly over 200,000 Spanish.
