The bar chart compares the proportion of various industries contributing to the economy of Country B in three different years
The bar chart compares the proportion of various industries contributing to the economy of Country B in 1995 and 2015, and a prediction for 2025. Overall, finance is the only industry expected to increase, and it was consistently the dominant category and will be so in 2025. Notably, the fields of food processing, and oil, coal and gas are expected to remain the same, while manufacturing and tourism are projected to decline.
Looking first at finance, in 1995, it accounted for the highest result of just over 30% of the economy and rose to over 35% twenty years later. The trend is expected to continue, and by 2025, this industry is predicted to have reached its highest point of roughly 42%.
The food processing industry, and the oil, coal and gas industry show a relatively similar trend with the former at far lower rates. Despite increasing initially from about 10% to 20%, and roughly 25% to 31%, respectively, both sectors should drop back to their starting points in 2025.
In contrast, manufacturing and tourism decreased by around 5% in 2015 to approximately 15% and 20%, in turn. However, while the tourism industry is forecast to remain unchanged, manufacturing is expected to fall further to a mere 5%. (207 words)

Question: Some people think that too much money has been spent looking after and repairing old buildings, so we should knock down old buildings and build modern ones instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
ANSWER:
Many argue that excessive spending on preserving and restoring historic buildings justifies their demolition in favour of constructing newer structures. Although this can serve as an improvement in the functionality of urban planning, I only partly agree with this notion because these constructions help embrace the cultural value of a region and promote local tourism.
The first argument for my opposition is that older structures hold immense historical and cultural values. They provide an intangible connection to the past which vividly translates the cultural and social endeavours of different past periods to the audience. For example, the Richmond Gaol, a well-known attraction in Tasmania, enables tourists to understand the colonisation era of Australia. As a result, individuals can feel proud when introducing their regions to friends who live in different parts of the country or even the world.
To add further credence to my belief is that the maintenance of historical sites can confer many economic benefits. Older buildings are often regarded as tourist attractions which captivate the attention of a large influx of travellers from around the world. The government can earn an additional income from the preservation work and more job opportunities can be generated for the locals such as selling souvenirs or operating a travel agency which provide them with a means of livelihood.
However, my concession is that transforming ageing buildings into more modern ones can meet more contemporary demands of an urban area. New buildings often offer improved functionality and accommodate technological advancements. A sound example is the demolition of an old warehouse into a state-of-the-art co-working space that can cater to the growing demand for flexible and collaborative work environments, providing modern amenities as well as showcasing newer aesthetic designs.
In conclusion, I somewhat believe that the protection of traditional buildings can emphasise the cultural significance of a large community and boost tourism, so they should not be replaced. Nonetheless, I admit that complete transformation of these facilities can meet the needs of more advanced functions to a city. Therefore, a more balanced approach such as the clearance of meaningless old buildings should be considered.
